Defining Non-School Time

"Defining Non-School Time"

By: Manuel R. CortezRodas

Non-School time not only takes place when been off school grounds, but away from all school related activities.  School sports, plays, fundraisers, PTSA meetings, etc. are part of school time, although they are not considered part of instruction time.  Yet those who participate, in what are designated as extra-curricular activites, know very well that they require time and are school related.  They provide, for those who participate, a learning experience.  Non-School time is for us to disengage from school, and provide for us a personal and private opportunity to engage in our own lives.
