It is 2023 and the new year has began without missing a step. It is something that education must also do. Education must continue to smoothly flow without missing any steps. If steps are missed, or skipped, the educational path that students travel will be incomplete. This can lead to veering off the path, missing out on key knowledge or skills, and possibly getting stranded on the side as other students continue on.
Educators can help students stay on their educational path by ensuring there are no missed steps as they progress on their journey. Careful planning is key to helping students succeed in reaching the end of their journey. Not only planning lessons and meeting state standards, but also planning for school breaks and encouraging students to pursuit education on their own. Providing them with resources that are reliable, accurate, and within their level of comprehension is a great way to help students remain on the educational path and, in some instances, help them sprint ahead towards the end goal of achieving academic and personal success.
As the year begins educators should take time to plan and develop on ramps and new paths that continuously guide students towards the end of the school year and beyond.
