Some ideas to consider in lesson planning for Halloween include geometric shapes, lighting effects, pumpkin carving design, etc. Here are some examples to consider:
- How do shapes change the facial features of a traditional Jack-o-Lantern?
- If the eyes are triangles, does the orientation have an effect on the expression?
- How does the thickness of the pumpkin alter the need for a bright source of light to be placed inside the Jack-o-Lantern?
- If the source is placed at the bottom, does the carving need to be adjusted to reflect the glow effect at night?
