Back to School 2024

 

It is the start of the 2024-25 school year.

Teachers and students will once again meet in classrooms to learn and study.

Schools will be filled with the sound of students passing through the halls.

Friends will meet and greet each other while they share summer stories.

It is a new beginning in the next stage of the educational journey.

It is the start of the 2024-25 school year.

Preparing for a New School Year

A new school year looms over the horizon.

There's growling from the crowd as they read that sentence.

Growling from students, parents, teachers, 

and others who ask:

"Why? 

Why remind us of such things? 

We are still in mid-July. 

Let's enjoy Summer a bit more."

And I join with the chorus of growlers, but it's inevitable.

We must begin to prepare for the new school year.

There are those who have been getting prepared all along,

There are those who will procrastinate and pull it through,

There are many of us who end up doing both: 

Procrastinate & Prepare.

Time lines and schedules are set with reminders:

"By the end of June, this."

"By the end of July, that."

"By August, ...

the night before, ...

the first day of, ...

by back to school..."

We envision a path,

We develop a roadmap,

We calculate and budget supplies,

We enjoy one last Summer sunrise and sunset.

"September is now here and we have started a new school year.

New classmates, new classrooms, new teachers, new t-shirts.

Old classmates, old classrooms, old teachers, old t-shirts.

We all have a chance to begin on a good note and start on the right foot."

"It is the start of a journey, the beginning of an adventure.
Sometimes the path will be easy-going and straight forward.
Sometimes the path will challenge us to take a step back.
And every once in a while a fork on the road will offer a choice.

"So let us all, all of us, plan the best and safest route.
And reroute our direction if we ever get lost.
Let us all help each other reach the end of the school year.
And together as one we'll be able to cheer."

To all Parents, Administrators, Students, Teachers, and Educators:

MRCR Educations wishes all a wonderful 2015-16 school year, and we hope that it is filled with educational growth and development.


"Back to School"

We are going back to school.
Soon, in the next few weeks, and days ahead,
Educators, Teachers, Students, Administrators, and Parents,
in addition to all personnel who has a task, responsibility, and commitment to education, prepares to go back to school.

To Educators:
As Educators we are leaders to those who want to learn.
We welcome and share with them:
The knowledge we've gained.
The skills we've developed.
We assess their learning to ensure it has value.

To Teachers:
The true titans of education are teachers.  There's that memorable one whose door was always open.  In whose classroom there is unexpressed respect, and discipline is unnecessary.  Those who challenged, pushed, moved, and motivated even the most impossible ones.  They help us practice skills.  They help us learn knowledge.

To Students:
Yes.  Students must wake up and get ready to demonstrate what they've been taught.  Must study what students have learned until it has been mastered.  Be responsible and take ownership of their own education.  Become leaders in the areas they study.  Create and develop new fields to study in.

To Parents:
Help prepare students by providing support, guidance, and encouragement.  Provide a safe and secure space in which a strong foundation forms such that a lifetime of education can take place.  Become an example by learning, studying, and teaching the importance of education.  Impart a fair assessment on the student's education.

To Administrators:
It is a great honor to serve and administer people's needs in education.  Parent's concerns. Student's struggles, Teacher's training, Educator's understanding.  These are among the many concerns of education's administrators.  They have the responsibility to ensure everyone is educated.  They have the responsibility to ensure education is fair.

New School Year 2014-15

The 2014-15 school year has begun.  Students, teachers, parents, administrators, and educators have gone back to school.  The first day of classes has come and gone, so has the first week, and soon enough both the first holiday will arrive as the first month will depart.

There is much work to do and growth to achieve.  Not all will be starting at the same level, but all should be finishing on par.  By making education our priority we can create a learning environment where study, creativity, and interaction can take place.

This cannot be achieved without a plan or preparation.  It is worthwhile to take some time and come up with an implementable roadmap that can serve as a guide throughout the school year.  This roadmap should also allow for exits and entrances in case it is needed to go off road.

It is also imperative that trust, safety, and security be established as part of the learning environment.  By preparing for possible emergencies and disasters, which could take place in the classroom, school, or community, these three imperatives can become established as a natural part of the educational process.

Returning to Education (Part 3)

How can we succeed
in preparing for
our return to education?

Here is some advice,
which can serve as a guide,
to prepare and succeed
in the upcoming school year.

For all students:
STUDY.  So you can learn.
For new students: Become familiar.
For returning students: Be welcoming.

For all teachers:
LEARN. So you can teach.
For new teachers: Ask for assistance.
For returning teachers: Offer assistance.

For parents:
PARTICIPATE in the educational process.
For educators:
FACILITATE the educational process.

Returning to Education (Part 2)

How we prepare for our return to education
can become a factor, in our departure from it,
at the end of the school year.

If we do a good job
of preparing for our return,
at the end of the school year
our departure should be a successful one.

HOWEVER,

If we fail to do a good job
of preparing for our return,
at the end of the school year
our departure,
if we reach the end of the year,
can only become successful
through a great deal of self-sacrifice
and the help
of those
who care for us
to succeed.

Returning to Education (Part 1)

We are returning to education.
We have had our Summer Break,
and now,
it is time to return to education,
so we may become educated furthermore.

This we do
as we transition from Summer Sessions and prepare for "Back to School"
in anticipation
of that first day of school
which indicates
the start of a new school year.

We have reached the time in which we return to our places of education.
Places where we spend time: Learning, Teaching, Studying.
Places where knowledge is exchanged
by those who are part of the Educational Process:
Students, Teachers, Learners, Administrators,
Adults who serve for the betterment of education for all.

Awake and Ready

As the month of September comes to an end,

We also close the first full month of the school year.

We have established an educational schedule that we are adhering to,

We are awake and ready to complete this school year.

As September comes to an end, this is where we should be.

We are awake and ready, and we demonstrate it in school.

By showing up on time to class, by raising our hands to engage.

By bringing our homework in hand, and handing it in to be graded.

By preparing our lessons and teaching our students.

We demonstrate we are awake and ready.

By being awake and ready for school we show our commitment

As students: Attending, Participating, Learning, Studying.

As educators: Preparing, Engaging, Welcoming, Educating.

As parents: Supporting, Nurturing, Encouraging, Parenting.

By being awake and ready until we complete this school year.

A New School Year Awakes

By now most of us have had at least a couple of weeks of school.

The new school year has gotten started, and for the most part everyone is starting to settle in.

First day jitters are gone, and we have caught up on what we did over the summer.

But there is one thing, a sound, that even as adults have a hard time getting used to.

That is, of course, the wake-up call.

Whether its from an alarm clock, our phones, or our parents coming into our bedrooms, the wake-up call eventually comes every morning of each school day.

It is our indication that we are to get ready for the day ahead, as we are now awake.

Though sometimes getting ready does require just a little more sleep, eventually we must comply and make it through our daily morning routine so we may be in school on time.

Waking up and getting ready are the first two activities we do each day before school, and they play an important part on the future of our day.

This is why it is important that each and every day, throughout the school year, we do what we can to make sure that these two daily activities help us start our day in a positive manner that can be carried out by us so our day is bright from start to finish, while uplifting and cheering up those who may need to lean on us for support.

"A New School Year"

The month of September will bring about the start of a new school year.  It is the time for those who are participating in education to be waking up and getting ready.  This requires that we become mentally and physically awake, so that we may become fully able to start the new educational school year, and to establish a routine that will help us in planning for the next day.
